Franklin County Republican Party

"Smaller, more effective government...for the people...by the people"

Tennessee House of Representatives District 39:

Franklin & Moore Counties, southern half of Lincoln County

Seat presently held by State Representative
George Fraley (D)

Although the Democrats have a very slim majority in the State House, House Speaker Jimmy Naifeh runs a very crude operative. He is known to force Democrats to vote against their own conscience and is known to stack committees so that conservative legislation dies without debate. By electing a Republican for the 39th District, we will do our part to bring Naifeh's tyranny to a close and restore decency to the State house. This is clearly in the best interest of all Tennesseans, Democrat, Republican, and Independent!

  • Steve Heath is running in the August 2008 Republican Primary for House District 39.

Tennessee State Senate District 14:

Bledsoe, Coffee, Franklin, Grundy, Sequatchie, Van Buren, and Warren Counties

Seat formerly held by Jerry Cooper (D) who resigned following a multitude of incidents and violations.

We want to elect a Republican who will work with Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey for a healthy and effective budget, results for our tax dollars, sound ethics, and the true spirit of our State Constitution.

  • Mike Niederhauser, Lynn Sebourn, and James Threet, III are each running in the August 2008 Republican Primary for State Senate District 14.

U.S. House District 4:

Seat presently held by Congressman
Lincoln Davis (D)

Lincoln Davis used his influence as a State Senator to redraw US District 4 to help him get elected to Congress. He loves to parade himself through the District as a conservative, but his voting record and his attitude towards others is nothing more than "good-ole-boy" politics. Now, he is looking to move further up the political ladder by running for Governor in 2010. We want to elect a Republican whose first priority is the needs of the people and not the need to move up the political ladder.

  • Kent Greenough, Monty Lankford, and Don Strong are each running in the August 2008 Republican Primary for US House District 4

U.S. Senate:

Seat presently held by Senator Lamar Alexander (R)

Lamar Alexander is a name almost synonymous with Tennessee. He has represented our fair state with a level head and an independent voice. We cherish his leadership, compassion and understanding and we look forward to another 4-years of great service!

President of the United States:

Senator John McCain (R)

While the Democrats are fighting amongst themselves the Republicans are moving forward. John McCain is a tried and true public servant with a strong military background and a passion for good policy. He is running for this office on principal and not on empty promises. He is running for the sake of the country and not for the sake of political favors to special-interest groups. We are proud to present this man of honor and integrity as our nominee for President of the United States.
